Ex Melrose Place Star Guilty Of Murder
Actress Amy Locane, best known for her role as Sandy on the original Melrose Place, has been charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and third-degree assault by auto.
While driving drunk in Montgomery, New Jersey, Locane hit the passenger side of another car and killed the woman sitting in the front passenger seat. The driver of the other car also suffered serious injuries. Locane was arrested at the scene for DUI and she was brought to another hospital for treatment.
The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office claim that Locane was involved in a minor hit-and-run accident right before the deadly crash.
Locane told the police that she drank several glasses of wine before driving.
If convicted, Locane could spend 5-10 years in jail.
